"What is your favorite part of working with animals?"
They get me! I’ve been raising animals since I was five years old. Then at ten I began taking care of other people’s animals, the first dog I ever watched was a German Shepard named Roxie. She was sweet and energetic and I loved every second I spent with her. I’ve since ran my own small business by myself but moved onto Pet Waggin’ because it’s such a great and organized local business. I love animals so much because a lot of the time I feel alien to human interactions so being with animals allows me to feel way more at home. We can stop and smell the flowers as much as we want. Stare out the window at the wind, cuddle for hours, or just lay in the sun and bathe in the moment. It’s my favorite way to be!
"What is your #1 pet care tip or something you want to share with clients?"
A pet care tip that I feel like applies to life too is to be present and grateful. A lot of times our animals can feel us not being fully engaged with them and it makes interactions a little harder to manage. Being grateful to be with our animals also helps take away frustration when things come up that might put a wrench in our day. At the end of the day if both beings are happy and safe, that’s really what matters and that will show to your animals and in their behaviors too.
"What I like most about working at Pet Waggin?"
I love working for Pet Waggin’ because Mary Ellen is so sweet and knowledgeable as are my other coworkers. It’s really awesome working for a local business because it is way more personal and genuine.
