It’s that time of year and we couldn’t be more excited to jump into the Holidays! We could all use a little holiday cheer, including our pets. Not only are we looking forward to spoiling our loved ones and furry friends, but we’re also looking forward to finding even more ways to give back to our communities. What better way to show our gratitude after a long, hard year, than by supporting Long Beach local and independent pet sellers?
Instead of heading to the big box stores for gifts, we’re inviting you to check out some of our favorite local businesses, sellers, and artists. Check them out!:
Recently, we sat down and interviewed Long Beach painter and graphic artist, Stephanie Han to learn about her process. If you haven’t read the interview, check it out! Her gorgeous pet portraits make an excellent gift for your favorite pet owner, and it was a joy getting to learn about her background, artistic process, and upcoming projects.
Sarah is another local animal-lover and artist who creates colorful and incredibly detailed pet portraits. Mary Ellen fell in love when Sarah painted a picture of Pancho after he passed away. Sarah has even painted a portrait for Jonathan Van Ness! We are proud to know such talented artists and are thrilled to recommend them each chance we get! While she’s not located in Long Beach, you can still order online from her website - we just had to share about her because of her beautiful sketch of our Long Beach native, Pancho.
MADE is a gift shop and art gallery that works to support the local economy and local artisans and artists. If you’re in the Long Beach area, you should definitely check them out in-person! You’ll be sure to find a truly unique gift for your favorite pets and humans. If you’re not able to go inside, they’re also offering curbside pick-ups and free local deliveries! Be sure to call ahead and confirm their hours.

Now more than ever is the perfect time to shop for gifts online! We thought we’d boost some Etsy sellers who also happen to be local to Long Beach, and that includes Willowear. From matching pet parent/pet sets like bandanas and shirts to face masks, Kristen’s got a creative gift in store for you and yours!
Here’s another Long Beach Etsy seller we’ve recently fallen in love with! Not only does Gabriella sell fashionable and premium quality dog bandanas, but she offers a wide array of colorful, 100% cotton dog leashes. In fact, all her materials are handmade with cotton and sure to make a comfy cozy experience for your favorite pup this winter.
Who doesn’t love dressing up in matching outfits with their pups? Check out RaiseTheWoofBoutique’s fun and funky (and customizable) wear local to Long Beach! Whether you’re looking for something cute, funny, sassy, or all three, Heidi’s got something for you. This is also the perfect gift for those holiday family portraits.
We could not be any prouder to live in a city of such incredible talents! And speaking of the holidays, if you have the opportunity to travel this year, get in touch! All you have to do is create an account here to get started! To learn more about our booking process and what to expect when working with us, we’ve got you covered - head here to learn more.
