Team Member + Trainer

Your partner in canine communication and pet care pro

As a member of the Pet Waggin’ team since 2021, I’ve cared for a lot of cats, dogs and even bunnies — but I’m also a passionate dog trainer committed to helping you build a stronger bond with your furry friend.

My journey into the world of dog training began with a deep fascination with animal behavior — understanding how our canine companions think, learn and interact with the world around them. This led me to pursue formal education through Penn Foster College, where I earned my Dog Obedience Trainer/Instructor certification. I further expanded my knowledge by becoming a Dognostics Certified Canine Enrichment Technician, specializing in creating engaging and fulfilling activities for dogs of all ages and breeds.

What I love most about dog training is the ‘aha!’ moment when owners and their dogs truly connect, understanding each other on a deeper level. It’s incredibly rewarding to witness the transformation that occurs when communication improves and bonds strengthen.

By learning to understand and communicate effectively with our dogs, we not only improve their lives but also enrich our own. I’m excited to partner with you on this journey of discovery and connection with your canine companion!

"The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated." - Mahatma Gandhi

I believe this quote extends beyond the treatment of animals to encompass the understanding of them. By learning to understand and communicate effectively with our dogs, we not only improve their lives but also enrich our own. I'm excited to partner with you on this journey of discovery and connection with your canine companion!

My Training Philosophy:

I believe in a holistic approach to dog training that focuses on four key cornerstones:

Positive Reinforcement:

We use rewards, praise, and encouragement to motivate your dog and build a positive association with training.

Enrichment:

We incorporate enrichment activities to keep your dog mentally and physically stimulated, preventing boredom and promoting overall well-being.

Engagement:

We focus on capturing your dog's attention and creating a willing partnership where they actively choose to participate in the learning process.

Consistency:

We emphasize clear communication and consistent expectations to help your dog understand what is expected of them.

We love Pet Waggin' and our sitters. They are always prompt and the follow up after each visit is excellent. Also they are very accommodating when needed on a short notice when changes happen.
