The Ultimate Pet-Friendly Guide to Long Beach
Updated: Aug 20, 2019
Lucky for us, Long Beach is probably one of the most pet-friendly areas in the world. We have over 10 dog parks in town, lots of pet friendly restaurants complete with patios, and plenty of pet shops and businesses to ensure we give our pets the best life and care possible.
Since we’re the best darn pet experts in town and we LOVE our town, we thought we’d share with you all the best pet-friendly spots around.
Because after all, how much fun can we REALLY have if we don’t have our four-legged best friends along with us?
Long Beach Dog Beaches
Rosie’s is actually the only real off-leash dog beach in Long Beach area! How could you not love it? It’s a 4-acre free space for dogs to run, play, swim, fetch, and roam.

Long Beach Dog Parks
Any Long Beach resident knows that we have an large amount of dog parks around us, which is so amazing. In case you’re overwhelmed with all the options or want to know the rules, we’ve listed our favorite dog parks below and added a link here with all of the Long Beach dog park rules.
Recreation Dog Park is the dog park that we go to for our dog park play days with Pet Waggin’ Pet Care! It has watering stations, benches, and poop bags for guests. It is also lighted at night time, which is a big bonus!

El Dorado Dog Park has a separate area for big dogs and small dogs, which is a really nice addition. It has the basics that all dog parks should, like a drinking fountain, bench seating, and waste baskets for all of those poo bags! It’s also a grassed dog park!
